OK GUYS, THIS IS HOW YOU RESET THE OIL CHANGE LIGHT. Press reset to clear any messages that are shown. Press MENU until SYSTEM CHECK is shown. As it goes through the check, the CHANGE OIL message will show. When it does, quickly press and release RESET. Then press and hold RESET. It will tell you when it is reset.

The oil change reminder indicator will turn off. Ranger 2013 to 2019 Service Light Reset. Turn the ignition to ON. Use the directional pad on the steering wheel and scroll through the settings area under the heading menu. Go to Settings > Vehicle > Oil Life Reset. Push and hold OK until it resets to 100%Press the engine start/stop button without depressing the brake or clutch (one position before starting engine). 2. Press the brake and gas pedals at the same time; after 3 seconds the "Service: Oil reset in prog." message will appear and after 25 seconds the "Service: Oil reset complete" message will appear. 3. The reset procedure is different on the 2019 Focus and be careful with that because there may be an issue with the latest model that Ford is being very cagey about (see later). Also note that this applies to other Ford vehicles – it’s Ford’s software system rather than specific models of car which is responsible.
