That's what I read before purchasing the EF-S too. For me, it was one or the other when it came time to making the purchase. It was a no-brainer for me to get the adapter from just the sheer abundance and availability of EF/EF-S lenses in the used lens market (not to mention it was the same cost as getting the EF-M lens). It’s arguably less convenient when shooting movies but enables greater precision when making adjustments for stills.
